Privacy Policy.

Effective date: 12 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data collected through the Seely waitlist at seely.live. We've kept it short on purpose - there isn't much to hide when all we collect is your email.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

The data controller is Wojciech Błaszczyk & Dawid Kaźmierczak, operating the Seely project (the "Service"), based in Wrocław, Poland.

Contact: dawid@seely.live

For anything privacy-related - questions, deletion requests, complaints - just email us. We respond within 7 days.

2. What data we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address (which you provide)
  • A timestamp of when you signed up
  • Basic technical metadata that Vercel logs automatically (IP address, user agent, referrer) for security and abuse prevention

That's it. No tracking pixels, no analytics cookies, no marketing trackers on the waitlist page.

3. Why we collect it and on what legal basis

We use your email for one purpose: to notify you when Seely launches and, optionally, to share major milestones leading up to launch.

Legal basis under GDPR (RODO):

  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR - your consent. By submitting the form you consent to us storing your email and sending you launch-related updates. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interest. For the technical server logs needed to keep the site online and protect it from abuse.

We will not use your email for unrelated marketing, sell it, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or enroll you in newsletters you didn't ask for.

4. Where your data is stored

  • Email + timestamp are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), in the West Europe (London, UK) region. The United Kingdom has a European Commission adequacy decision, meaning data transfers from the EEA to the UK do not require additional safeguards.
  • Supabase Inc. (USA) acts as a processor. Where any data is processed in the US, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
  • Vercel Inc. (USA) hosts the landing page and handles server logs. Same SCC / Data Privacy Framework basis applies.

We do not transfer your data to any other third parties.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your email until the earliest of:

  • You withdraw consent or request deletion (we delete within 30 days),
  • 30 days after Seely officially launches and you've been notified, or
  • 24 months from signup, if the product has not launched by then.

Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

6. Your rights under GDPR (RODO)

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you,
  • Rectify it if it's wrong,
  • Erase it ("right to be forgotten"),
  • Restrict processing,
  • Data portability - receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format,
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest,
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email dawid@seely.live. No special form required - just say what you want.

7. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe we're handling your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority:

Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO)

ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa

https://uodo.gov.pl

8. No automated decision-making

We don't profile you. We don't run automated decisions on your data. It's a list of emails - that's all it does.

9. Cookies

The waitlist page uses only essential cookies required for the page to function (e.g., Vercel's anti-abuse cookies). No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers. If we add analytics later, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first where required.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (Supabase/AWS encryption). Access to the database is restricted to the founders and protected by strong authentication.

We're a two-person team and we do our best, but no system is 100% secure. If a data breach occurs that puts your rights at risk, we'll notify you and the UODO within 72 hours as required by Art. 33–34 GDPR.

11. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where the change affects your rights, notify you by email before it takes effect.
